Ron Jr. (Reg) Gustafson, project manager for Clinkenbeard, will be attending the Paris Air Show June 15 through 21 in Le Bourget, France. Reg will be attending the show to support current Clinkenbeard customers such as Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney and Hamilton-Sundstrand as well as to help generate new business for Clinkenbeard. A press conference was held in Rockford May 28 to announce the first-ever Rockford, IL, delegation trip to the air show. Clinkenbeard was selected as the host company for the press conference.

Clinkenbeard has received official International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registration from the US Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. The ITAR registration means that Clinkenbeard is uniquely positioned to fully support and work on all US defense-related projects and expresses the US government‘s trust in the company in doing so.
The March 2009 issue of Design World magazine published a case study that explained how Clinkenbeard applied its speed-to-market and CNC capabilities to help restore the main beam of the World War II F4U Corsair fighter aircraft.
Clinkenbeard recently collaborated with Connecticut Corsair in the restoration of the World War II F4U Fighter Aircraft.

Clinkenbeard recently completed a project in which the customer supplied production parts which required reconfiguration to be useful. Minor machining and reorientation of these components allowed the parts to be used on a new program.
Clinkenbeard has recently completed a project which required ITAR compliance. ITAR regulations dictate that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies may only be shared with US Persons unless approval from the Department of State is received or a special exemption is used.
Clinkenbeard has added a new Mazak vertical milling center to its operations. The new equipment is a 4 axis machine with 40” X 20” X 20” capacity. This addition of this machining center will increases capacity and improve Clinkenbeard's ability to produce highly-accurate parts with complex geometries.
